A Pike research study expects organizations to invest a combined $432 million into the cyber security of EV charging infrastructure between 2011 and 2015. The investment wants to protect consumers against the risks associated with financial transactions and the threat of hacking which could leave vehicles without charging and could reduce consumer confidence in the emerging technology.
