Investment in the renewable energy sector is soaring in nations such as Poland and Turkey, which are under strong pressure from the EU to reform their coal intensive energy supplies. This increased investement in these developing markets comes at a time when renewable energy investment in western Europe is lagging, continuing to fall behind the market’s more recent entrants.​
