The 25th World Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Eletric Vehicle Symposium& Exhibition (EVS25 agenda​) closed on Nov. 9th, 2010,. The Shenzhen Declaration was signed in Shenzhen, China. E-Visionary Awards was given to the City of Shenzhen, China, the City of Amsterdam, the Netherlands and the State of Oregon, U.S.A., respectively. The EVS flag was transferred from Mr. XU Qin, the mayor of Shenzhen, to Mr. Austin Beutner, the First Deputy Mayor of the EVS26 holding city, Los Angeles.

EVS25 was held from Nov. 5th to 9th in Shenzhen, China. This occasion is the largest one in EVS series, with more than 2000 registered participants , around 100,000 visitors , 45,000 m2 exhibition area,372 exhibiters , and 280 four wheels new energy vehicles in total. The exhibiters are the players in different part of the industry value chain, ranging from battery, electrical motor, controller, other key components and vehicles. They exhibit the latest innovation in the industry. Majority of the exhibitors are companies instead of research institutions, which implied the development of electric vehicle (EV) forward to the era of industrialization.

The subject of EVS25 is Sustainable Mobility Revolution. Besides the speeches at the Opening Plenary Session and the Closing Plenary Session, a series of forum were held, namely on plug-in hybrid EV, light duty EV, advanced battery and brand and marketing, respectively. EVS25 received nearly 1000 papers from more than 50 countries/areas. 557 papers from 38 countries/areas were selected and compiled. Most of the papers were from China, Japan, Korea, Germany and the United States.

EVS25 was hosted by China Electrotechnical Society, Society of Automotive Engineering of China and Electric Vehicle Association of Asia Pacific, assisted by People’s Government of Guangdong Province and People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality, in cooperation with World Electric Vehicle Association, Electric Drive Transportation Association, the European Association for Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles.

The World Electric Vehicle Symposium and Exposition (EVS) series, organized by World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA), is recognized as the premier event for academic, government and industry professionals involved in electric drive technologies and in turn hosted by the authoritative association of the countries in Asia Pacific Area, America and Europe.
